Gas Station Owner Arrested for Hiding Secret Screws Inside Pumps to Keep Cards Charging 😱

Gas station owner arrested for hiding secret screws inside pumps to keep cards charging, sparking nationwide outrage as investigators uncovered a clever fraud scheme. Authorities arrested a gas station owner after discovering modified pump nozzles designed to silently siphon money from unsuspecting motorists long after they drove away.
Investigators found tiny, dirt-colored screws meticulously concealed inside every nozzle holder across the station. When customers finished fueling and replaced the nozzle, the hidden screw physically prevented the lever from locking completely into place. As a result, the transaction remained active and linked to the customer's payment card. Unaware drivers left the lot assuming their purchase was finalized, allowing subsequent drivers to fill their tanks on the previous customer's dime. Police and state inspectors are now reviewing financial records to determine how many drivers were victimized and the total amount stolen. Consumer protection officials urge all drivers to verify on-screen that transactions fully reset to zero before leaving any fuel pump.
